Before joining the law firm, Mr. Garrity served as Corporate Counsel for Sense Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded company that manufactures biometric time and attendance and access control devices.  His duties included the drafting of legal documents for third party contractual relationships, including end sales agreements, UCC filings, strategic partnerships, reseller agreements, capital financing agreements and extended service contracts.  During his tenure as Corporate Counsel, Mr. Garrity , maintained an active private practice that focused on intellectual property litigation.

Mr. Garrity was the founder of J.D. Garrity and Associates, P.A. in Coral Springs , Florida where his concentration was on intellectual property litigation and transactions as well as civil litigation.

He served as Corporate Counsel for Zoned In, Inc., an Internet technology company, where he handled all legal matters with an emphasis on corporate, contractual and intellectual property issues. 

Mr. Garrity has represented clients that include the second largest Florida based franchisor, a publicly traded biometric technology company, an international yacht equipment manufacturer, an internationally renowned artist, an Internet service provider, CLEC and a web site design company.
